NOISE IN THE WATERS
NOISE IN THE WATERS (BARULHO D’ÁGUA) by the italian playwright Marco Martinelli, it's about a subject that seems to have been removed from current media and criticizes the lack of a global refugee policy, narrating the tragedy of immigrants crossing the Mediterranean Sea.
The Brazilian version of the show comes from the meeting of tree artists Carina Casuscelli, Lenerson Polonini of Companhia Nova de Teatro, and Marco Martinelli, author of the text and director of the renowned Italian group Teatro Delle Albe during the Italian version of the play, presented at the Teatro La MaMa in New York( January 2014), through conversations and exchanges about the dramaturgical research of both groups, the artists signed a cooperation and exchange agreement to research on the topic of immigration, based on experiences in both countries.
